Our garden board is both a visual reminder of our garden goals and a tool to communicate with volunteers who come in from the community to work in our garden. It also shows a schedule of upcoming events such as excursions, and Hui Malama events like graduation.
Community Work Day constructed and delivered the garden board to Hui Malama. Displayed on the board are Hui Malama’s garden goals and “Wish List”.
Using their hands-on learning experiences, our students completed the “vision” part of the board. Students were able to map out the inputs and outputs of the benefits of a garden.
