Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” Kaiser Permanente Hawaii Medical Group answered that question by helping in our community garden. Weed mat was laid throughout the entire garden, garden beds were formed, weeds were pulled, compost was spread, a paved bar-b-que area was made, and recycling bins were constructed. Over 70 Kaiser employees and their families volunteered to take on these tasks. A great sense of accomplishment was felt by all who participated as the finished product was seen at the end of the day. Mahalo Kaiser!
