Keoki M.
My appointment was with Councilmember Pontanilla. I didn’t have a partner, but I went with Aunty Pua.
When I was waiting outside of the office, though, I felt pretty nervous going in to talk to him. I also didn’t want to mess up and give a bad first impression. My first impression was that he looked strict, but he was really nice and easy-going. We only spoke for 10 minutes in his office. He never really asked me any questions. All he asked me was, “How do you like the Hui Malama program?” I told him I liked Hui Malama. I told him it’s really nice to talk to a person so high up in importance of the community. Councilmember Pontanilla and Aunty Pua were talking about what our food program is and how he should come to our graduation. I liked it, and I really enjoyed meeting and talking to him.
