Stay Sober! Stay Alive! Our students felt the best way to get the message across was to be direct and to the point.
Students made a mural conveying this message as part of the Hui Malama “Be A Jerk” campaign. In preparation, students learned some of the finer points of how to use spray paint. Precise hand movements, spray control, and wind factoring were just some of the techniques practiced before starting their project.
The campaign may be over, but we will continue with the message of underage drinking and the problems it causes throughout the community. Mahalo to the County of Maui, MEO and CMCA for including Hui Malama in this project.
